Executive Summary

The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry (AITI) intends to open the first intake of TechInspire Apprenticeship Programme, a professional IT certification programme combined with structured apprenticeship that aims to upskill and equip unemployed youths with industry relevant skills as Technician.

AITI intends to engage qualified and recognised Tenderer(s) to host and provide teaching and training facilities to the trainees and secure potential jobs for them. The Tenderer(s) are expected to have good connections with relevant subject matter experts and able to coordinate with potential hosting/hiring entities.

The objectives are to:

1. Increase local ICT jobseekers’ marketability and employability.
2. Provide local ICT jobseekers with industry-ready skills in private sectors.
3. Equip local ICT jobseekers in order to replace foreign workers in the local ICT sector.

The high-level scope of work involves:

1. Development of Structured Training Programme for Full-time Classes;
2. Sourcing for hosting entities as potential hiring entities and securing job opportunities;
3. Sourcing and enrolment of trainees; and
4. Implementation of full-time classes and facilitation of trainees’ apprenticeship.
