Spectrum Monitoring
As stipulated in the AITI Order, 2001, AITI is responsible for managing and regulating the use of spectrum in Brunei Darussalam. In this regard, AITI monitors transmission activities of related electrical, electronic or radio-communication equipment frequencies to ensure compliance of usage and also to eliminate cases of interference.
Under the Telecommunications (Radio-communications) Regulations, 2013, AITI is authorized to inspect radio-communication equipment in order to determine the causes of interference.
Licensees may request assistance from AITI for:
- investigating electrical or radiated interference or disturbance to telecommunication equipment, stations, networks or system; or
- Measuring and computing the field strength of radiated electromagnetic energy of any electrical, electronic or radio communication equipment;
