The regulatory approach for the provision of satellite services in Brunei Darussalam serves to guide decision-making related to licensing and ensuring regulatory compliance within the local satellite communications market. It aims to:

  1. Clarify the licensing requirements for the provision of satellite services in Brunei Darussalam, in accordance with AITI’s existing licensing framework; and
  2. Ensure transparency in regulatory requirements for market players and prospective entrants in Brunei Darussalam’s satellite market.

This regulatory approach takes effect on 1 June 2026.
