Project Murah Hati

On 26 December 2023, AITI distributed school items for students of Melilas Primary School and Sukang Primary School. Basic household necessities were also distributed for fifty residents of each Mukim. ⁠

Present at the distribution of the donations were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development; Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications and Chairman of AITI; Ir. Haji Jailani bin Haji Buntar, Chief Executive of AITI, representatives from Belait District Office and Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN); and employees of AITI.

Representing their communities to receive the donations were Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann, Melilas Village Head; and Yang Mulia Haji Mohamad Noh bin DMS Dian, representative from Sukang Long House.

'Projek Murah Hati' is an annual initiative that forms part of AITI's corporate social responsibility, aimed at providing assistance to the community. The donation project to Mukim Sukang and Mukim Melilas started since 2021 to support the welfare of students and residents in the rural areas. This year, the project was conducted in conjunction with the Ministers’ working visit to the rural areas of Belait District.
