Overall Responsibilities

Responsible for leading the development of Personal Data Protection Order (PDPO) regulations, subsidiary legislation, and advisory guidelines, the Senior Manager will act as a subject matter expert on technical aspects of data protection, including data breach investigations, data protection by design, and cybersecurity measures. The role also includes preparing technical guides to support the effective implementation of the PDPO, managing stakeholder-facing services that include handling feedback, queries, and complaints related to the PDPO and overseeing investigations into potential non-compliance and lead initiatives to promote compliance across industries through outreach, awareness, and capacity-building programs for various stakeholders.

Requirements and Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Public Policy, Information Security, IT Network and Engineering, or any other related field as deemed fit by AITI.
  • Having a Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Must have at least six (6) years of relevant working experience in a managerial or senior managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of personal data protection matters.
  • Excellent leadership quality, communication skills, strategic thinking, decision-making, and proven ability to interact and manage relationships effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
