Digital Upskilling Programme

Introduction

As Brunei Darussalam undergoes digital transformation towards a Smart Nation, AITI has been introducing various initiatives to prepare and train the locals with relevant skills related to Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) such as Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

One of the initiatives is the Upskilling Training Programme for Local Youth Jobseekers and Local Workforce that aims to facilitate the upskilling and reskilling of participants with industry-ready competencies based on the demand and requirements of the industry.

Objectives

Improve

knowledge and skills by providing technical training, business and mobile applications to local individuals in the field of ICT in moving towards the digital economy and the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Equip

locals with globally-recognised professional industry ICT certification as well as increasing employment opportunities for local youth jobseekers.
  • Citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam. 
  • Must be at least 18 years old on the day of registration. 
  • Currently holding a job in an ICT-related field in the private sector in Brunei Darussalam.
  • Must pass the necessary course examination in order to obtain the recognised official industry certification for the specific course. The exam must be taken within two weeks of attending that particular course. Any re-sits must be taken within two weeks from the initial exam. 
  • Citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam. 
  • Must be at least between 18 to 35 years old on the day of registration.
  • Must possess at least a Brunei Darussalam Qualification Framework (BDQF) Level 3 i.e. Skills Certificate 2 (SC3) or National Technical Certificate (NTec) with demonstrated academic experience in an ICT related field.
  • Must attend the majority of the classes held by the appointed trainer(s).
  • Must undergo the necessary examination in order to obtain the recognised official industry certification for the specific course undertaken.
  • Must be currently unemployed and actively seeking for a job in the ICT industry.
