The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI), a statutory body which licenses, regulates and develops Brunei Darussalam’s telecommunications industry. From March 2007, the E-government Technical Authority Body (EGTAB) was formed under AITI to function as the e-Government think tank.
AITI would like to inform that:
- All existing advanced amateur radio callsigns, V88, will be replaced with new Callsigns, V85. Example: V88ZZZ to V85ZZZ, where ZZZ is any combination character from AAA to ZZZ.
- Two-character callsigns are now opened for both advanced and standard licenced holders. Terms and conditions apply.

Requirements for applying for two character callsign and registering for new callsign
Applicants shall:
• fill in the amateur radio callsign application form;
• bring along the original copy of Amateur Radio Licence
Terms and Conditions
1. All application stated above has taken effect as of 22nd March 2010.
2. Applicants must clearly write the callsigns they selected in the form provided by AITI. Incomplete submissions will be invalidated.
3. Callsigns are released on a first-come-first serve basis.
4. AITI shall inform the successful applicants. A payment of B$100.00 shall be made before a new callsign can be issued.
