INTRODUCTION

AITI plays an important role in introducing initiatives and programs to assist the ICT industry in Brunei Darussalam. As part of such initiatives, the AITI Grant Scheme for the ICT industry has been set up to assist local ICT industry players in Brunei Darussalam to achieve such aims.

OBJECTIVES OF THE AITI GRANT SCHEME

• To encourage R&D activities by local businesses in Brunei Darussalam to produce innovative products that possess significant commercial potential with emphasis on “Made in Brunei”;
• To strengthen R&D capabilities of Bruneians; and
• To encourage the development of more competitive local content developers in Brunei Darussalam

TYPES OF GRANTS

There are four (4) types of grants available. These grants cover the basic standard cycle of any product/solution development. This includes:

• Grant 1 - Product Development
• Grant 2 - Product Enhancement
• Grant 3 - Product Ownership; and
• Grant 4 - Product Packaging

GRANT APPLICATION

Applicants must provide all information required in the application form together with a project proposal and a product or solution business plan setting out the following :-

• TITLE of the Project
• SUMMARY of the Project
• OBJECTIVES of the Project
• TIME FRAME
• PROJECT FOCUS
• COMMERCIALITY
• EVALUATION
• COST
• EXPERIENCE
• PERSONNEL
• FUNDING
• CONTACT PERSON

All applications must be delivered by hand in a sealed envelope marked ‘AITI GRANT APPLICATION' and be delivered to :-
