AITI gave members of the public a glimpse into a 'SMART' future at the TechXpo 2018 pavilion held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas from 18 – 21 August 2018. Along with a number of selected vendors, AITI showcased what a future enabled by ubiquitous connectivity and the Internet of Things would look like.

Various activities were carried out over the 4-day event including various coding and programming activities aimed at children aged 8-12 years old. The Minecraft Hour of Code and Microbit workshops, facilitated by Microsoft Brunei, and an Introduction to Coding, facilitated by EduChamp Academy, highlighted the importance of coding and programming skills in the 'SMART' future focusing on introducing these skills through interactive mediums that allowed the children to experience ICT in a fun and tangible way.

AITI also highlighted the proper process of importing smart devices as well as other radiocommunications and telecommunications devices.
